- Main article: Planet
Consisting of Desert and Arctic Planets, can only be colonised by researching the appropriate tier 2 technologies. These planets are less desireable (-10 ) than Class I or II Planets to inhabit as Food(1) and Industry(1) ,is scarce (without improvements), but they also offer excellent opportunities for Dust(9) . And Science(9) Class III Planets can be terraformed from Class IV Planets by reseaching the appropriate tier 7 technologies from the Exploration & Expansion Technology Tree.
Desert "With its waterless surface, this planet is more difficult to colonize and exploit."
Desert Planets provide excellent opportunities for Dust . there are poor opportunities for Food and Industry. Science , is nonexistant. They tend to be Tiny (23.1%), Small (23.1%), or Medium (23.1%) in size, but can also be Large (15.4%) or Huge (15.4%). Desert Planets can be created from Class II, other Class III, or Class IV Planets through terraformation by researching the tier 7 Soil Revivification technology on the Exploration & Expansion Technology Tree.
Arctic
"Glacial and snow-covered, exploitation of this planet requires some effort."
Arctic Planets provide excellent opportunities for Science , However, Industry is nonexistant and there are poor opportunities for Food(1) and Dust . They tend to be Tiny (23.1%), Small (23.1%), or Medium (23.1%) in size, but can also be Large (15.4%) or Huge (15.4%). Desert Planets can be created from Class II, other Class III, or Class IV Planets through terraformation by researching the tier 7 Low-Temp Hydration technology on the Exploration & Expansion Technology Tree.
